Hua Hin is a seaside resort on the Gulf of Thailand, in the southern Thai province of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Hua Hin is the main tourist destination in the Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Along this stretch of the Gulf of Thailand there are countless sandy and beautiful beaches. Most of them are very quiet and with very few people around (unfortunately it is also common to meet soi rabid dogs; however i will focus on this issue on a different article in the future) In my opinion below is the list of the best beaches in the area:
Pranburi is located only 20 kilometres south of Hua Hin and it is an ideal place for kitesurfing during the high season from November through March. From November to January you can expect a cool north wind, and high waved. Form February to March you will likely find a hot south wind and calm water.
Properties in Pranburi are cheaper than Hua Hin.
If you are looking to rent a house in Pranburi you can expect to pay at least 20% less than you would pay in Hua Hin for a similar properties.
There are not many condominiums and apartments available in Pranburi. The majority of accommodations available for rent are detached houses, villas, and townhouses.
Many property owners find tenants directly by posting a property listing online using snaphome.asia or similar tools.
The advantage of finding a tenant directly is that property owners do not have to pay any commission to an estate agent and can rent or sell their house free of charge.
Famous for its spectacular sunrises, Hua Hin beach is a 4 kilometers sandy strip that stretch from the Hilton Hotel in the hurt of Hua Hin to Monkey Mountain in Khao Takiap. Most of the beach is very quiet. There are areas where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for some relaxing time. Other activities are also available, including horse riding, and windsurfing. The Hua Hin Beach is also great for jogging. The water is warm and clean most of the the year. Please note that in December and January the water is a bit colder and sometime the beaches are red flagged because the sea is too choppy to swim.In this period of the year water is less crystal clear than usual.
Hua Hin has been growing a lot in the last 20 years. Many property developers and big companies have invested in the town and built hotels, shopping malls, condominium and luxury villas in gated communities. Currently there are many new build homes and old properties on the property market. If you are planning to stay in Hua Hin for a period longer than 2 weeks, it is definitely more convenient to avoid hotels and to rent a home in Hua Hin directly from the owner or to find an apartment or condo with the help of an estate agent in Hua Hin.
Very near to Hua Hin and at the same time still very undiscovered. Popular both with Thais (especially during the weekend) and foreign tourists as well. There are a few bars, and restaurants with sea view where you can enjoy seafood, and popular Thai dishes. Often ordering drinks or food gives free access to sunbeds with umbrella. Near the beach there is a new pier where the ferry Hua Hin to Pattaya boat moors. This new service brings to Hua Hin a good number of tourists every day. For this reason in the area around Khao Takiab beach and Hua Hin it is easy to find both long terms rentals and short term rentals.
