Many people living in Thailand do not own a car. Some consider traveling by motorbike or bicycle too dangerous. One of the many advantages to buy a house or an apartment in Hua Hin is that the city offer very good and reliable public transportation system.
Khao Takiab to Hua Hin Airport. You can easily recognize these Songthaew because they are coloured in green. They leave every 15 minutes or so and cost 10 baht to and from Khao Takiab to the centre of town. 10 Bath extra if you go further.
This is probably the most popular and the most convenient route for tourists sightseeing Hua Hin and Khao Takiab.
This Songthaew route go through Phetkasem Road, which is the main road in Hua Hin. The route starts at the Khao Takiab village ( a village located to the south of Hua Hin), and end to the Hua Hin Airport (located to the north of Hua Hin).
Using this line you can get to most of the popular places in Hua Hin, including Cicada Market, Hua Hin Bus Station, Bangkok Hospital, Market Village, Tesco Lotus, Clock Tower, Hua Hin Hospital, and Makro
Circular route. This is a circular route that travel around the inner city, ranging from Soi 94 to Soi 41. The service runs both clockwise and anti-clockwise at intervals of about 10 minutes Service starts at 6 AM and runs until 9 PM. Ticket fare is 10 Baht.
Maegep to Makro. The service start at 6 AM and runs until 8 PM. Service is every 15 minutes during the pick times and, and every 30 minutes at other times. Ticket fare is 30 Baht for the entire trip. For shorter rides the fare is between 10 Baht and 25 Bath.
Hua Hin to Huay Mongkol. It is a circular route starting at Hua Hin Railway Station and travelling clockwise around Hua Hin, stops include Market Village, Blue Port, Hua Hin Floating Market, Wat Huay Mongkol, Huay Mongkol Floating Market, Majestic Golf.
This service runs hourly, from the Railway Station. First ride is at 8 AM. Last pick up at Wat Huay Mongkol is at 5 PM. If you travel from the Hua Hin train station to Wat Huay Mongkol ticket fare is 40 Baht. For shorter rides the fare is between 10 Baht and 35 Bath.
